Extreme Makeover: Home Edition announces Ind. family

ABC's television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" announced the family that will be featured from Miami County, Indiana today.

Andy and Heather Cowan, parents of Ryan, 16, Trevor, 13, Mason, 8, and Kori, 12, are factory workers who are having a difficult time supporting their family, according to a press release.

Kori was diagnosed at age six with a congenital blood disease. She has faced 17 operations so far due to polyps she has in her nasal cavity and behind her eyes, according to the release. Doctors believe these polyps might be caused by environmental issues in the family’s home.

The family will go to Disneyland while the team leader Ty Pennington, along with designers, Hallmark Homes and community volunteers rebuild their home during the next six days.

The house will be demolished tomorrow and “move that bus” will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to the release.
