Sobriety checkpoint to happen in Monroe County

Indiana State Police will enforce a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, Sept. 4 in Monroe County.

The exact time and location will not be released.

Drivers that are not impaired should expect to be delayed 2-3 minutes, according to a press release.

This action taken by the police is part of the three week crackdown on impaired drivers enforced by the Governor’s Council. “Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest” goes through Sept. 7.
