Bloomington listed No. 4 on Forbes’ list

For the second year in a row, Bloomington was ranked in Forbes’ Best Small Places for Business and Careers.

Bloomington was ranked No. 4 on the list of 179 cities. Last year, it was ranked No. 3.
The list, published annually in March, looks at cities with populations less than 240,000, according to Forbes.

The list examines the cities on “costs (business and living), crime, educational attainment, 4-year colleges, income growth, job growth (past and projected), net migration, subprime mortgages and cultural and recreational opportunities in an area,” according to the Web site.
