Former U.S. Sen. Birch Bayh will present a lecture on the importance of the separation of church and state at 3 p.m. Thursday at the IU School of Law.
During his visit to his alma mater, Bayh will participate in several classes in the Indiana School of Law, speaking about how legislation works on Capitol Hill.
As a three-term member of the U.S. Senate, Bayh served on the Judiciary Committee, the Appropriations Committee and the Environment and Public Works Committee, as well as writing two Constitutional amendments: the Twenty-fifth Amendment and the Twenty-sixth Amendment.
