Letter from men’s basketball coach Tom Crean

Jacob Kriese

Welcome to Indiana University!

I hope your experience in Bloomington will be as exciting and rewarding as it has been for my family and I since coming to IU in April. We have been overwhelmed by the contagious spirit for the Hoosiers here in Bloomington. You could not have picked a better place to begin this chapter of your life.

During the next few years, you will have the opportunity to learn from world-class faculty and experience a campus culture that has so much to offer. Explore Bloomington and the surrounding communities and take advantage of all they have to offer. Enjoy the total experience of attending IU.

When fall rolls around, I encourage you to make trips to “The Rock” at Memorial Stadium, a regular part of your routine on football home game Saturdays. Coach Lynch and the football Hoosiers need your support to “Play 13” every season.

By early November, basketball season will be ready to begin. I hope you join the more than 8,000 students that comprise the nation’s largest student section at historic Assembly Hall and experience the greatest home-court advantage in college basketball. Hoosier basketball has long been a source of pride for IU students and we want to continue to build a program that you can be proud of both on and off the court. We want you to be a part of our team as we strive to win championships!

I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you at Assembly Hall next season.

GO HOOSIERS!

Tom Crean
Men’s basketball coach
