New Head for IAC announced by governor

Governor Mitch Daniels recently announced the appointment of Kelly B. Schreckengast, of Lafayette, to serve on the 15-member Indiana Arts Commission.\n"Kelly's extensive experience in sales and marketing and her passion for community service will be a great asset to promotion of the arts in Indiana," Daniels said in statement. \nSchreckengast is a licensed real estate agent with Coldwell Banker-Shook Realty in Lafayette. She is a member of the board of directors for the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette and volunteers with the Y.W.C.A and American Cancer Society.\nDaniels also announced the reappointment of Sandra Clark, of Bloomington, to a second four-year term with the Commission. Clark is a self-employed consultant specializing in coaching and facilitation for organizational, career and personal effectiveness. \nClark formerly served on the board of directors of the Buskirk-Chumley Theater and the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival. She is the current vice-chair of the Commission.\n"The Indiana Arts Commission is grateful to Governor Daniels for appointing Kelly and reappointing Sandi to the Commission," said Dorothy L. Ilgen, IAC executive director said in a statement. "Their experience will be invaluable to the IAC as we implement our new five-year strategic plan." \nIAC Commissioners are appointed by the Governor to four-year terms with the Commission. The Governor may re-appoint commissioners for a second four-year term. Commissioners are selected based on their broad range of experience and involvement in community leadership, and interest in expanding the role of the arts in community, economic, educational and cultural development.
