A judge on Tuesday sentenced the driver in a crash that killed a teacher to 40 years in prison.\nBryan Gooldy, 46, admitted in court last month that he was under the influence of drugs when the collision occurred in November 2004. Right before his trial, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs causing death and being a habitual offender.\nPolice said Gooldy tested positive for cocaine, opiates and depressants after his vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic on a Bloomington street, killing IU alumna Kate Comiskey, a 24-year-old English teacher at Indian Creek High School, in a head-on collision.\nHe and Comiskey's parents vented their grief to Monroe Circuit Judge Marc Kellams about how that day has scarred them.\nIU Journalism Professor Nancy Comiskey recalled how she and Kate once hugged for almost five minutes in an \nairport.\n"I would give every day of the rest of my life to hold her one more time for 10 seconds and bury my face in her beautiful curly hair," she said.\nShe wept as she said, "I love you, Katy, and I will continue to love you every minute of every day for the rest of my life"
