Domestic terrorism, lurking nearby

The legal terrorists at the American Civil Liberties Union are at it again. Their most recent action involves getting the Pentagon to drop its support of Boy Scout troops by not giving them access to military bases and various military facilities across the country. You probably already knew that. What you may not have known is this is only the latest major victory in the ACLU's holy war against the Scouts. This fits the ACLU's pattern of targeting decent, law-abiding organizations and offering support to questionable organizations on the fringe of society. These positions indicate the ACLU is nothing more than a domestic terror organization.\nThe riff with the Boy Scouts occurred when the ACLU's Chicago office filed a discrimination lawsuit charging that the military's support of the Boy Scouts amounted to a government endorsement of religion given the focus on moral character and obedience. I was not surprised by this action given the ACLU's track record of outright hatred for anything resembling a Christian organization, but I was nonetheless disappointed. Although I was never a Scout myself, the Boy Scouts focus seems to be on building good young men of moral character who will be productive citizens. What is wrong with that?\nYes it is true the Boy Scouts recognize a "higher power," but there are many different religions that recognize a higher power. Islam, Christianity, Judaism and even many eastern religions recognize some form of a higher being. Even the atheists that the ACLU is so determined to protect may recognize a power within each of us (it might not come from God but it is there). The Scouts do not in any way endorse one over the other. If they said something like "obey God and His son Jesus" then perhaps the ACLU might have a point. However, the Boy Scouts are not a religious organization and the ACLU is merely trying to feel good about itself again after losing its other holy war against President Bush.\nThe unfortunate fact is not just that the ACLU has fought against groups that try to improve people's lives, but also that this organization has lent it's support to some groups that are not worthy of any kind of support. For example, the ACLU has continually stood by the North American Man Boy Love Association in legal battles. It should be obvious by the name, but in case it isn't, NAMBLA supports child molesters having the right to commit their crimes against children without fear of legal sanction. They believe the Constitution guarantees them the right to do this. Can someone show me where the Founding Fathers wrote that grown men can have sex with little boys?\nThe ACLU claims it holds no position on what NAMBLA does and only supports their right to speak out. This may be all well and good, but the result of the ACLU's legal support means child molestation and harm is assured. When little boys are continually molested and their lives destroyed, the legal terrorists at the ACLU will have nobody to blame but themselves.\nAt first I had a hard time understanding why the ACLU would hate the Boy Scouts and embrace NAMBLA, but then I realized that the ACLU does not have the larger interests of America in mind. They even go beyond a political organization trying to push their agenda. They want to push an agenda that is right up there with that of the KKK and the Aryan Nation. This may seem like a stretch, but if both organizations had their way, the effect on America would be the same: total and complete destruction of everything America stands for.
