Senate green lights traffic bill\nINDIANAPOLIS -- The Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security endorsed a bill Tuesday that would allow Indiana cities, towns and counties to place special traffic cameras at dangerous intersections.\nWhen a driver violated a red light, the cameras would take a picture of the vehicle passing through the intersection. Citations could then be mailed to owners of the vehicles, complete with photographs.\nThe committee approved the bill 8-1 and sent it to the full Senate, which has approved it the past two years. The bill did not receive hearings in the House, but sponsors are hopeful a change in committee chairmanships will improve their chances this year.\nThe bill is sponsored by Sen. Kent Adams, R-Warsaw, and Sen. Thomas Wyss, R-Fort Wayne.\nOffical arrested for battery
