SPEA Program seeks applicants \nThe School of Public and Environmental Affairs is accepting applications for its Washington Leadership Program for the fall 2002 semester. \nParticipating students live with other IU students and intern in Capitol Hill offices, Cabinet departments, regulatory agencies and non-governmental groups. Students are also enrolled in two classes taught by an IU professor. \nStudents earn 11-12 academic credits. These groups will still begin meeting starting the week of Feb. 4.\nInterested students can register online at www.iub.edu/~cor/cor.html.\nTaliaferro to speak at Law School\nIU alumna Judge Viola Taliaferro will speak at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Black Law Students Association Black History Month Celebration in the School of Law. A reception will follow in the faculty lounge.\nWriting Tutorial Services expands\nThe Writing Tutorial Services will begin offering help sessions for creative writing in addition to its regular services. Students may sign up for a 30-minute appointment for poem and short exercises or an hour-long appointment for drafts, creative essays or portfolios. \nWTS is located in Ballantine Hall 206. Its hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday from noon-3 p.m.
