Football player arrested for sexual assault

Junior cornerback Clarence Young was arrested Friday at his home after a warrant was filed Thursday by the Bloomington Police Department. Young is being accused of attempted rape, sexual assault and criminal confinement, all felonies, after a 19-year-old woman accused Young of assaulting her at a party Oct. 6, 2001, police said.\nThis is the second time Young has been accused of sexual assault. In July, Young was accused of raping a 21-year-old woman, but the case was dismissed Dec. 14 in a Monroe Circuit Court. Young is facing a new count of sexual battery in the July incident. \nYoung has been suspended from the football team since October in accordance with the IU athletics department's code of conduct.
