The Hoosiers have begun to prepare for the 2002-2003 volleyball season with the signing of Ashley White (St. Charles, Ill.) and Mandy Eberle (Sussex, Wisc.). The two high school seniors signed national letters of intent to play volleyball for Indiana.\nWhite comes from St. Charles East High School where she lead her team to a No. 1 state ranking and a state title. The six-foot-one outside hitter earned first team All-Area Tri-Cities honors and first team All-Conference. White also earned Sun-Times All-State special mention and Chicago Tribune All-State special mention. \nEberle will also be joining the Hoosiers next year as a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Eberle's junior year she earned All-Conference honors and was honorable mention All-State. In her senior year, Eberle helped lead her team to a No. 2 state ranking, earned All-Conference honors and second team All-State. At the State tournament in 2001, Eberle was named to the All-Tournament team.\nEberle said she considered Illinois State and North Carolina State as well as IU, but took the offer to play for the Hoosiers after a visit to the campus.\n"I visited the campus in April and I loved it. It was really beautiful," Eberle said. "I loved the coaches, they were great, and I really liked the girls. They were really nice, I think it's a good group"
