Woman's husband arrested in dispute\nPolice responded Monday to a report on a man beating his wife's daughter at the 2500 block of Rockport Road and arrested the man after the domestic dispute, police said. \nAn argument between the man's wife and her 17-year-old daughter prompted the assault, police said. The mother wanted to stay with her husband at his separate residence for the night, and the daughter was upset by this, starting the altercation, police said. During the argument between the mother and daughter, the man was sitting in a car in the driveway waiting for the mother. He emerged from the car and hit the daughter in the face, police said. \nRonald Baugh, 51, of the 2500 block of Fritz Drive, was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Correctional Center, police said. He has been released without bail.\nStolen check leads to car chase\nPolice responded to a report of a man attempting to cash a stolen check at Fifth Third Bank, 3200 E. Third St. After getting a description of the car from witnesses, officers spotted the white Chevy pick-up truck at Third Street and 45/46 bypass, police said. \nThe suspect fled from the officers, who continued to pursue him, police said. At Sare and Rogers roads, the passenger door opened and the passenger fled the car, according to police reports. An officer stopped to secure this person, who said he feared the suspect was going to kill someone with his car and he didn't want a part in it, police said. \nPolice continued to chase the other suspect to Campus Rental, 2425 S. Walnut, where the suspect had rented the car, police said. The suspect attempted to flee police on foot and was caught immediately.\nBloomington resident Jason Martin, 27, was arrested for criminal recklessness, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting law enforcement, police said. He is being held in the Monroe County Correctional Center in lieu of $4,000 bond.
