IU sophomore found dead at home

IU student Nick Savage and his brother Jack Savage died from an apparent drug overdose in Granger, Indiana, Chuck Hurley, St. Joseph County Coroner, said.

Nick, 19,  and Jack, 18, were found unresponsive in their home by their parents Sunday morning around 11:30 a.m., Hurley said.

CPR was performed on both at the home, however they were pronounced dead at 11:55 a.m. Sunday. 

Nick was a sophomore who had yet to declare a major, University spokesman Mark Land said. 

Autopsies will be completed Monday, Hurley said. Results from the autopsy and toxicology reports may not be available for another six to eight weeks.
