Women's soccer to take on Xavier

A game against Xavier on Friday is the next test for the Hoosier women, and after a week of rest, recovery and shorter training sessions, they said they are set for their next opponent.


Women's soccer team struggles in trip to California

It was not the weekend the IU women’s soccer team originally expected.

The Hoosiers were vying to return from California with two wins against UC Santa Barbara and No. 5 Pepperdine.

Instead, they flew back to Indiana with a tie and a shutout loss.

The players of the IU women’s soccer team will fly to the West Coast this weekend for matchups against UC Santa Barbara and Pepperdine, their first away matches of the season.


New assistant coaches both have Hoosier pasts

IU splits weekend duo of games

After a 3-0 defeat Friday night, the women’s soccer team responded with a 4-1 victory Sunday.

Soccer player makes Hoosier history

In the team's first two games of the 2012 season, the IU women's soccer team notched two victories this weekend against Arkansas State and Ohio.

Women’s soccer begins season

Following last week’s 6-3 victory in its preseason exhibition against Northern Kentucky, the IU women’s soccer team has two matches this weekend to open its season.



Velasquez named to Colombian National Team

Indiana University women’s soccer standout Orianica Velasquez has been named to the Colombian National Team and will become the first IU women’s soccer player to compete in the Olympics.

As the youngest team in the Big Ten, the IU women’s soccer team posted a 2-3 record in Big Ten play through Oct. 2. A six-game losing streak concluded its season and denied an opportunity for the team’s six seniors to play in a postseason match.


IU looks to bounce back after overtime loss against MSU

The Hoosiers get another chance Friday when IU plays Minnesota, currently sixth in Big Ten standings. The Gophers’ freshman forward Taylor Uhl is ninth in the conference in scoring, averaging 0.56 goals per match.
