Little Fifty to kick off race weekend

The Little Fifty, a growing IU tradition, kicks off Little 500 weekend today with the women’s race at 7 p.m. and the men’s race at 9 p.m. at the Robert C. Haugh Complex.

When Sarah Mordis was 18-years-old and a recent high school graduate, she suffered from a stroke. She spent 16 days in a rehabilitation center and went to physical and occupational therapy three times a week throughout the summer before her freshman year. She's currently a senior at IU and ready to graduate.

Now a senior, stroke victim looks ahead

Four days after graduating from high school, Sarah Mordis woke up and couldn’t move the left side of her body. After being rushed to an area hospital, the then-18-year-old Mordis learned she suffered from a stroke and would have to relearn how to walk, talk and use her left arm. Now, she's graduating.

Saudi Arabia open house to combat stereotypes

The Saudi Student Club is hosting an open house from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Bloomington. The event will include a dinner, cultural tour and panel discussion.

Students stand against sexual assault

Students gathered around the clock tower Wednesday afternoon in support of IU’s silent victims of sexual assault. Stand Up and Be Counted 2009 honored Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Models of IU multi-cultural fashion group Epiphany Modeling Troupe pose and walk the runway during their fashion show titled "Fashion Fierce: What's your Addiction?" Wednesday night at Willkie Auditorium. Proceeds from the show go to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Epiphany Modeling Troupe presented a fashion show on Wednesday in the Willkie Auditorium. The theme was “Fashion Fierce: What’s your addiction?” Each model wore jeans and a white T-shirt, but they each added their own personal scarves, jewelry, bags or sunglasses to make the outfit unique.

IU to play Maryland in Big Ten/ACC Challenge
