Ambassador speaks about current state and future of Afghanistan

$3000 Congress fund added to final IUSA budget

IU named Military Friendly School

IU was named a 2014 Military Friendly School by veteran-owned business Victory Media Inc. The annual Military Friendly Schools list includes the top 20 percent of schools in the United States which deliver the best experience for military students, based on the quality of military support on campus, the university’s academic credibility and the percentage of military students enrolled.

Men's golf to play in Zionsville

The IU men’s golf team will travel to Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind., this weekend to compete in the Wolf Run Intercollegiate. The three-round tournament will consist of 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.

IU to face Duke, North Carolina

Former IU player Dumes found not guilty

Devan Dumes, a former IU basketball player, was found not guilty Tuesday of attempted murder, attempted carjacking and theft and possession of a handgun without a license, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s office. The charges stem from a Jan. 11 incident where Dumes was accused of trying to steal Keith Jones’ car and shooting him in the neck at a meeting they had arranged the night before, Dumes’ lawyer Israel Nunez Cruz said. Dumes had purchased cocaine from Jones the night before, and when Dumes was not able to pay, Jones became angry and asked him to meet him Jan. 11, Cruz said,.
