Historically, volleyball team has had strong foundation

Compared to the 125 years of football or 108 years of basketball, the University’s volleyball program is still in its early childhood. However, IU volleyball has slowly but surely displayed signs of emergence among its fellow university sports teams as it enters its 34th season.

IU ranks No. 1 in conference

IU has once again taken its yearly position among the Big Ten’s best. And the Hoosiers, ranked No. 13 nationally, are ready to defend their title as the top-ranked team in the conference.

2009 marks team’s 9th season of play

Field hockey is the second-newest sport to IU’s varsity sports, behind rowing. IU coach Amy Robertson took over the team in 2000. Her previous job was as assistant coach at Wake Forest from 1997 to 1999.

After rough start, club champions seek repeat

The IU men’s club soccer team has one aspiration this year – to repeat as national champions. Throughout the past three years, the team has the best overall record in the country with 44 wins, seven losses and eight ties.

1st IU-Purdue battle of fall season today

The IU volleyball team hopes the results of those matches are different this year. The Hoosiers (12-4, 1-1) play in West Lafayette for the first of two regular-season battles with Purdue (9-4, 1-1) at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

No. 9 IU shuts out No. 13 Kentucky

The floodgates finally opened for the normally sluggish Hoosier offense Tuesday night, as No. 9 IU defeated No. 13 Kentucky 3-0 at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
