Kinser, Powless lead IU wrestlers in Las Vegas

Both wrestlers went 5-1 for the tournament to finish in third place in their respective weight classes and lead the Hoosiers to a 16th-place finish overall in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.

Women's basketball upsets No. 24 Nebraska

The Hoosiers (5-3) rode a 40-32 rebounding advantage, including a 17-10 edge in offensive boards, and senior guard Jori Davis' 21 points to hand the Cornhuskers (6-1) their first loss of the 2010-11 campaign.


Men's Basketball v. Savannah State

IU defeats Savannah State 79-57

Junior guard Verdell Jones led all scorers with 18 points to help the Hoosiers rebound from their first loss and advance to 7-1.

Wrestlers travel to Vegas for final nonconference tune-up

The IU wrestling team currently stands at 6-0 in duals but faces a major step up in competition this weekend. The Hoosiers travel to Las Vegas for the annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in their final tune-up before Big Ten matches begin.

Women’s basketball defeats Clemson, 65-51

Senior guard Jori Davis and sophomore forward Aulani Sinclair scored 17 and 15 points, respectively, to lead the IU women’s basketball team to a 65-51 win against Clemson on Thursday in Clemson, S.C.

IU swimmers travel to Ohio for Short Course Nationals

About 40 members of the IU swim team have shipped off to Columbus, Ohio for the USA Short Course Nationals. Members who didn’t make the trip will look to hold the fort at this weekend’s Hoosierland Open along with the diving team.

Boston College outlasts Hoosiers 88-76

Boston College's Reggie Jackson scored a game-high 27 points, and IU could not complete a double-digit comeback in the second half as the Eagles defeated the Hoosiers 88-76 in the teams' ACC/Big Ten Challenge contest on Wednesday in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
