Heading into the final series of the regular season against the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Indiana baseball team might feel a little more pressure than usual. If it wins the series, the team can clinch second place in the Big Ten and, with it, a first-round bye in the conference tournament.

IU NCAA tournament run ends with loss to UK

A day after ousting Louisville and etching its name in IU lore as one of the most successful teams in program history, the Hoosier men’s tennis squad was condemned to the same fate that befell its basketball brethren earlier this year, as Kentucky advanced at Indiana’s expense in the NCAA Tournament.

The IU softball team finished its season with a six-game winning streak and sweep of Michigan State in the team’s final series.

The Hoosiers’ baseball team entered a weekend series with the Northwestern University Wildcats sitting in second place in the Big Ten Conference standings. After the weekend series, the team remains in that second place spot.

Mayhew lifts Hoosiers with record-setting 10K time

Indiana’s Zach Mayhew ran neck-and-neck with Wisconsin’s Elliot Krause for 9,700m of the men’s Big Ten Championship 10,000m run Friday, hosted by the Badgers at the McClimon Complex in Madison, Wis.

Women's basketball coach announces staff

The new women’s basketball leader announced the remainder of his coaching staff Friday, which includes Chris day, Brandi Poole, and Kevin Eckert. Day will serve as Miller’s associate head coach, while Poole and Eckert have been selected to be assistant coaches.

Wait now over, Hoosiers look for an NCAA breakthrough

Friday, IU will look to take the most significant step forward yet in its ongoing pursuit of the “tennis school” moniker, as it stands on the precipice of killing two birds which have eluded Bloemendaal’s cream and crimson squads with one stone: should the Hoosiers defeat Louisville in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, Bloemendaal and the current crop of Hoosiers would earn both their first NCAA Tournament victory and their first triumph against Louisville.

Hoosiers lose to Kentucky in 12 innings

The Hoosiers battled the University of Kentucky Wildcats through 12 innings Wednesday, but the Cats came out on top, winning 6-5. Both teams used a combined 13 pitchers.

Freshman gets 5th Big Ten honor

Sam Travis, freshman first baseman for the Hoosiers, was awarded his third Big Ten Freshman of the Week recognition on Monday. This is Travis’ fifth overall Big Ten conference weekly award.

Former IU left tackle Andrew McDonald’s agent Josh Marks called him at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to inform ?him that the Miami Dolphins were interested in signing him.

Last Saturday, former IU left tackle Andrew McDonald was invited to rookie camps for two NFL teams — the Miami Dolphins and the Green Bay Packers. It turns out that he didn’t even need to go to the second camp to get signed.

Kaila Hulls to join women's basketball team

IU Coach Curt Miller announced Monday that Kaila Hulls, the younger sister of men’s basketball guard Jordan, is transferring to IU and will begin taking classes this summer.
