Penn State's answer to a slow start this season came at the hands of third-string, walk-on quarterback Matthew McGloin. The sophomore quarterback led Penn State to wins in three of its last four games.

IU foosball club preps for match vs. Purdue

IU will once again face off against Purdue University, but it’s not in football or basketball— it’s in foosball. The Old Oaken Table, as it will be called, will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday outside of the bowling alley in the Indiana Memorial Union.

Volleyball makes last road trip of regular season

IU volleyball is in the final stretch of its season with just four games left. The two games this weekend are the final road games of the season, as IU faces Michigan State (12-15, 4-12) and No. 20 Michigan (21-7, 10-6) on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

New sponsor revamps local cycling team

Team Tortuga, a local cycling team that had 25 members (only five or six of whom raced seriously) last year, is planning to expand its talent base to the entire Midwest as a result of increased sponsorship from the Scholars Inn Bakehouse.

Club ice hockey team drops two games following suspension

After the end of its 10-day suspension from the IU Club Sports Federation for tryout and practice violations, the IU club ice hockey team traveled to Ames, Iowa for what would be the first team activity since two losses to Illinois.

Wrestlers prep for season's first dual meet

The IU wrestling team opens its dual season today at Wabash College. In many ways, the match will serve as primarily a warm-up for matches against Columbia and The Citadel in Orlando, Fla. this weekend as part of the Disney Duals.






Men's Basketball vs. Mississippi Valley State

Men's basketball beats Mississippi Valley State, 71-54

The Hoosiers shot just 38 percent from the field, including just 33 percent in the first half, but used opportunistic defense and unselfish passing to pull away from the Delta Devils at Assembly Hall.


Women's Basketball v. St. Bonaventure

Hoosiers bounce Bonnies in home opener

The IU women’s basketball team was able to slip past a scrappy St. Bonaventure team Monday. The Hoosiers claimed a 50-44 victory at Assembly Hall against the Bonnies.
