Column: There’s not much to say about this one

It was one of the oddest football games I’ve ever seen, and while IU came back (as it did against Virginia) and almost won at the end, it was another embarrassing loss — this time, 24-21 to North Texas.

While the IU football team played in North Texas, losing 24-21, injured running back Darius Willis helped a different kind of team win, when he helped professional wrestler PJB take down his opponent with a flying shoulder tackle.

A late-game quarterback switch and comeback were not enough for the Hoosiers to come back from a 24 point deficit Saturday as IU dropped their final non-conference game of the season to North Texas 24-21.

IU Coach Amy Robertson helped create the field hockey varsity program at IU. Since then, the recruiting has been solely out of state. With no major field hockey programs in the state of Indiana, the players come from all parts of America, including California, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Coming into the season, all the talk about the IU men’s soccer team surrounded the team’s loss of Will Bruin. It almost seemed like onlookers forgot about defense. The Hoosiers certainly didn’t. The No. 7 Hoosiers (5-0-2) begin their Big Ten season Friday at home against Penn State as they continue to play lockdown defense.
