IU gets hammered by Purdue

The winning streak was short-lived. After taking Wisconsin down to the wire and pulling off a 62-60 victory Thursday — the team’s first win in 15 Big Ten games this season — the IU women’s basketball team (6-23, 1-15) fell 90-58 to Purdue (21-8, 11-5) on Sunday at Mackey Arena during its final regular season game.

IU avenges home loss to Minnesota with rout at Williams Arena

The IU men’s basketball team entered Sunday’s game with two streaks behind them. One of those was losing Big Ten road games, in which IU was 2-6. The other was winning at Williams Arena, where the Hoosiers were 0-3 since IU Coach Tom Crean took over in 2008.

Women's basketball senior night yields 1st Big Ten win

Senior forward Danilsa Andujar muscled her way through traffic to grab the rebound and draw a foul with only 3.2 seconds left. Andujar sank both shots, giving her and the rest of the IU women’s basketball team its first Big Ten victory of the year, 62-60.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings this week welcomed the cream and crimson for the first time this season. The Hoosiers, ranked No. 74 in the nation, look to create a winning streak against ranked opposition after downing then-No. 71 DePaul University this past Sunday.

Players look to minimize mistakes against Tulane

Through three games, IU’s and its opponents’ run totals each stand at 19. However, IU committed seven errors that led to opponents scoring eight unearned runs against UConn, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

Sheehey’s start pays dividends in win

IU Coach Tom Crean said Will Sheehey had been dealing with a groin injury. In addition, Sheehey was recovering from an ankle sprain that sidelined him for five games. If he was still hurting, he didn’t show it Wednesday.
