The annual Tee Up Against Cancer Golf Outing has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 12, after originally being scheduled for early July, outing co-chairs Phyllis Davidson and Betty Nelson announced Friday.

While Americans across the country took the day off to celebrate our nation’s independence Wednesday, 24 current IU baseball players suited up for a summer league team hoping to make some fireworks of their own. A quartet of IU track and field athletes moved one step closer to London on Thursday, as Andy Bayer and John Jefferson advanced to the semifinals in the 1,500-meter race, Aarik Wilson qualified for the triple jump finals and Tiffany Howard earned a spot in the shot put finals in Eugene, Ore.

Hesen falls short of Olympic berth

Indiana University graduate and 2008 NCAA Champion Ben Hesen came up just short of making the U.S. Olympic team, finishing fourth in the 100-meter backstroke finals Wednesday at the USA Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb.
