Hoosiers now ranked No. 2, after beating Minnesota

IU received first-place votes for the first time since its loss to Butler on Dec. 15 that dropped it from No. 1 in the polls. IU received 13 out of 65 first-place votes in the AP Poll and six out of 31 in the Coaches’ Poll.

Hoosiers sweep Purdue in dual meet

The Hoosier men handled their opponent, winning 80-52, but the women found themselves in a much tighter contest. In what proved to be a deciding event, sophomore Brie Roller came from behind to win the 4x400-meter relay on the final leg and put her team in position for a 69-67 victory.

Hoosiers allow second-half comeback

After leading with 23 points at the end of the first half, the No. 5 IU men’s basketball team watched its lead get cut in half by a No. 8 Minnesota team determined to battle back after being almost defeated 20 minutes into Saturday’s game at Assembly Hall.

Wooden Award honors Zeller

IU dominates at tournament

The No. 49 Hoosiers hosted No. 52 Missouri, Marquette and Bowling Green over the weekend in a tournament that was organized into seven singles flights and one doubles flight.

Gophers too physical for Hoosiers

Minnesota certainly brought their “A”-game, defeating the Hoosiers in a fashion that reminded fans why they are ranked No. 4 nationally. Although the Hoosiers lost a physically tough match 41-3, IU Coach Duane Goldman said he believed the final score did not indicate the amount of effort that was put forth by each wrestler.

IU faces difficult matchup against Minnesota team
