AKRON, Ohio – A dominant second-half performance and frantic comeback attempt fell short for the IU men’s soccer team Thursday. The Hoosiers fell to Akron 3-2 in the NCAA Tournament’s first round.

IU to play Washington in NYC

Tonight, as IU Coach Tom Crean’s squad plays its first game of the 2K Sports Classic Tournament in the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden, Crean said he doesn’t want his players to block out the differences between Assembly Hall and the court the Hoosiers play Washington on this evening.

Column: College football needs 16-team playoff

The new college football playoff system, slated to debut in 2015, cannot come soon enough, as it could correct some of the ranking issues in polls. Other polls are too sensitive to things like strength of schedule and margin of victory.

Women's basketball improves to 4-0

With IU’s 80-53 victory against Central Arkansas on Monday night at Assembly Hall, the IU women’s basketball team improved to 4-0, its first 4-0 start since the 2006 season.
