I’ve had a pretty nasty cold this week, thanks to the fickle Indiana spring weather. But Tuesday night as I watched a cast of about 15 dancers jump and jive all across the stage to the melodious sounds of Billy Joel hits, I forgot all about my cold.

Campus groups host festivities for country on Sunday

This year marks Israel’s 60th birthday, and this Sunday, students all around campus will have the chance to celebrate. Along with many other sponsors, Hoosiers for Israel and the Union Board are teaming up to host Israelpalooza 2008.

While freshman Ben Hubers might lack experience, he makes up for it in talent and determination. Hubers displayed both last weekend as he placed third in the 1500-meter run with a regional qualifying time of 3:45.71.

I was recently asked to name my favorite designer. Now, I have a hard time with this question every time someone asks me because I simply have too many favorites.

IU graduate student and mezzo-soprano Meghann Vaughn sings as the character "Nicklausse" during a Les Contes d'Hoffmann dress rehearsal Monday at the Musical Arts Center. Les Contes d'Hoffmann opens Friday April 4 at 8 p.m. and continues on April 5, 11 and 12 at 8 p.m.

Three faces of one love

A story of love and despair entangled with comedy will take the stage at 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday and April 11 and 12 at the Musical Arts Center. The center will be home to the famous “Les Contes D’Hoffmann” opera composed by the late Jacques Offenbach.

President Bush won NATO’s endorsement Thursday for his plan to build a missile defense system in Europe despite Russian objections. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called it a “breakthrough agreement” for the military alliance.
