New political organization focuses on tax issues

Sign Big is a new Indiana organization that claims its mission is to inform taxpayers and reform local government, according to its Web site. Sign Big frames itself as a grassroots organization and utilizes new media such as YouTube and Facebook to get its message across. The organization gets its name from John Hancock’s famously large signature on the Declaration of Independence.

At its Kirkwood Avenue location, Uncle D’s New York Pizza has brought its authentic brand of New York-style pizza by the slice to Bloomington and IU students for a little more than two years.Now, the small franchise, which also has restaurants at the University of Michigan campus and 3 other Michigan locations, is reaping the benefits for its hard work.

Shots fired at Holocaust Museum, guard dies

WASHINGTON – An elderly gunman opened fire with a rifle inside the crowded U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Wednesday, gravely wounding a security guard before two other officers returned fire. The assailant and his victim were both hospitalized.
