Hurricane Bill downgraded after leaving 2 dead

The remnants of Hurricane Bill moved out into the Atlantic, forecasters said Monday, a day after the storm’s powerful winds churned up waves that were blamed in the deaths of at least two people on the East Coast.

IU announces new game-day traffic routes

The Indiana Department of Transportation will be managing traffic signals along the Indiana 37 Bypass during IU football games via camera systems from its Indianapolis office. The change is part of a plan to better control area game-day traffic.

New members join school safety group

The Indiana Department of Education appointed 13 new members on Aug. 4 to the Indiana School Safety Advisory Group, established by the General Assembly, to make safety recommendations that could be used to train school safety specialists at the Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy.

Former Hoosier forward Amber Jackson is now set to take on Spain. She recently signed a one-year contract to play professional basketball for Club Baloncesto Arxil. Many of her teammates have also continued on in sports.
