Bloomington’s summer benefits

This being my first real summer in Bloomington, I was shocked to find out the number of my friends that were actually staying here. It seems like the number of people who went back home have actually made this place a lot nicer to get around.

Gama brothers define home with passing of HEA 1402

Erick and Omar Gama moved from Mexico to Indianapolis when they were 11. They didn’t know the language, they didn’t have documentation and they were often made fun of at school because of their lack of English skills. The two brothers aren’t sure how they passed that year of fifth grade but by the eighth grade, they were moved out of the English as a second language program and were accepted into the Magnet program, which is for advanced students in Indianapolis Public Schools.

Baseball slips before finale at Illinois

Senior Dylan Swift provided some fun and sparked a rally in the Hoosiers' 8-4 loss to Louisville on Tuesday at Sembower Field, but coach Tracy Smith said he believes the team is mentally ready for its final regular-season series this weekend at Illinois.

Softball ready for NCAA regional play

The Hoosiers will participate in postseason play for the first time since 2006 when they match up with DePaul on Friday as part of the NCAA Division I Softball Championship.
