IDS reporter Kamilla Benko spent the morning in Boston Logan International Airport with her mother and two siblings. While they were there, airport staff honored the colleagues they lost 10 years ago.

Team suffers first defeat of season

The IU field hockey team faltered for the first time this season, falling in back-to-back away games on a West Coast road trip. On Friday, they fell to No. 16 Stanford 3-2, then lost two days later to California 3-1.

Purdie powers Hoosiers

Senior forward Alec Purdie scored three goals for the weekend, powering his team to wins against Bucknell and Denver for the tournament title.







Football vs. Virginia

IU gauges Virginia loss, prepares for next week

Virginia’s senior defensive end Cam Johnson sacked Wright-Baker and forced a fumble with 1:13 remaining in the game. The Cavaliers recovered at the IU 14-yard line. They ran down the clock and kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired to secure a 34-31 victory, spoiling a 21-point fourth-quarter IU comeback.
