Crean optimistic about 2009 center's eligibility

In June, freshman center Bawa Muniru had only one class to finish before he would be set to take the court for the IU men’s basketball team. Five months later, he has yet to be academically cleared to play, and there is no definitive explanation as to when he will receive confirmation from the NCAA clearinghouse.

Hoosiers prepare for Hysteria

The IU men's basketball team will debut their new look Oct. 16 at Hoosier Hysteria, the official start of the basketball season.

Irving’s uncle: IU is out

In a major shift from information given only a couple weeks ago, IU is out of the mix for the No. 4 point guard in the nation, Kyrie Irving, his uncle Sye Dean told Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog. Formerly, it was believed that Indiana and Duke were Irving’s top two schools, and that he would definitely take a visit to both.






Oladipo says God led him to IU

Victor Oladipo was praying for a sign before he came to IU for his official visit Thursday. Luckily for IU men’s basketball coach Tom Crean and his staff, he got several.




Jared Jeffries still without championship ring

In Indiana, where basketball is king, winning a basketball title is a young boy’s dream. The Indiana Mr. Basketball winner from 2000, a former-Hoosier superstar and townie, has yet to wear a championship ring.
