King’s life celebrated with poetry

In commemoration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center Library brought in Moore to recite her poetry that addresses many of the same issues MLK spoke about in the 1960s. Moore is an international poet, an author of three books and the CEO of her own publishing company, Moore Black Press.

A new study suggests family ties might play an important role in a person’s willingness to commit terrorist acts. The report by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy looked at dozens of terrorists, trying to figure out what motivates terror dropouts and how others might be influenced to turn their backs on violent operations.
