Man strikes girlfriend’s dog, kills it

A dog lost its life after its caretaker hit it on the head Tuesday, July 26. Bloomington police officers were called by Monroe county animal control officers to a veterinary clinic on Morningside Drive after the veterinarian reported a dog who had been hit had died.

Let’s talk about sex. Oh wait, excuse me. I meant to say debt because we have a lot of it. According to an article from CNN.com, there is $10.4 billion in federal funds used by the states for higher education that could potentially dry up if there is no deal made by Aug. 2. That’s money used for Pell Grants and subsidizing loans for students.

The Leading Index for Indiana, which measures the general direction of Indiana’s economy and is managed by the Indiana Business Research Center, increased by one-tenth of 1 percent to a score of 96.5 in July.
