Chappell, Turner agree to pro contracts

For several years, quarterback Ben Chappell and wide receiver Terrance Turner were teammates. Now the pair are division rivals.

Turner wasted little time after the conclusion of the NFL lockout early Monday agreeing to a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. NFL teams could begin talking to undrafted free agents such as Turner at 6 p.m. Monday. The two sides reached a deal after only a few hours.

Chappell has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 209 pound Turner had 67 catches for 681 yards and three touchdowns last fall in his senior season with the Hoosiers.

A two-year starter, the 6-foot-3-inch, 242 pounds Chappell threw for 3295 yards and 24 touchdowns with nine interceptions as a senior last season.
