Army Women look to prove doubters wrong

Originally a team of ROTC women, Army Women had five riders in the top 40 of Individual Time Trials and two in the Miss ’N Out semifinals as well as placing sixth in Team Pursuit.

Fla. judge’s career finished over ties to stripper

Thomas E. Stringer spent more than three decades quietly building his legal career in Florida, working his way up from an assistant state attorney to appeals court judge in the Tampa Bay area. In 2007, he was inducted into his law school’s hall of fame.

SC wildfire spreads near tourist beach; homes burn

A coastal wildfire spread Thursday near one of the busiest tourist stretches in South Carolina, burning dozens of homes and forcing hundreds to flee in the middle of the night. No injuries were reported and officials said the blaze appeared to be heading several miles north of the most densely populated areas.

Little Fifty to kick off race weekend

The Little Fifty, a growing IU tradition, kicks off Little 500 weekend today with the women’s race at 7 p.m. and the men’s race at 9 p.m. at the Robert C. Haugh Complex.




When Sarah Mordis was 18-years-old and a recent high school graduate, she suffered from a stroke. She spent 16 days in a rehabilitation center and went to physical and occupational therapy three times a week throughout the summer before her freshman year. She's currently a senior at IU and ready to graduate.

Now a senior, stroke victim looks ahead

Four days after graduating from high school, Sarah Mordis woke up and couldn’t move the left side of her body. After being rushed to an area hospital, the then-18-year-old Mordis learned she suffered from a stroke and would have to relearn how to walk, talk and use her left arm. Now, she's graduating.

Saudi Arabia open house to combat stereotypes
