IU coach Tracy Smith typically has a few more important things to think about during a game than what his players have chosen as their at-bat or pitching introduction music. But in between decisions about pitching changes, double switches or pinch hitters, Smith admits a select few of those songs booming through the Sembower Field public address system still manage to grab his attention.

Yeagley: ‘Plenty to fix’ in 1-1 stalemate

The IU men’s soccer team remained undefeated for the spring Wednesday, though not in the manner it would have liked. Twenty-two shots converted to just one goal for the Hoosiers, who went to 1-0-2 during the spring season with a 1-1 tie in two overtime periods against IU-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Willkie North's 3rd-floor residents vacate rooms Tuesday night

Residents of Willkie North's 3rd floor were allowed to return to their rooms briefly Tuesday night to gather some belongings, but were not able to sleep in their rooms. Willkie staff provided housing on other floors for students who couldn’t find a place to stay, but fewer than 10 people took the staff up on the offer.

A $1.4 million verdict delivered Tuesday by a jury was based partly on so-called “perversion files” secretly kept by the Boy Scouts of America. The Scouts plan to appeal, arguing the files are outdated and do not reflect current prevention efforts or even past policy.
