Drink the tap!
In my relatively brief existence, I have both heard of and witnessed some horrifying, logic-defying fads. If you aren’t sure what I’m talking about, just go ask your parents to see their old pet rocks. To me, no fad has ever seemed as pointless as the water bottle craze that has taken the U.S. by storm in the last decade. In my hometown of Memphis, Tenn., during high school it became “cool” to walk the hallways flagrantly toting around a bottle of Fiji-brand water. This water was supposedly cleaner and fresher than our own tap water, simply because it came from an artesian well several continents away.
