Swimmers participate in double dual meet this weekend

Friday and Saturday, the women’s team takes on two talented teams in Michigan and Texas. Texas, who defeated IU last year, is coming off an enormous victory against California, a perennial power that won the NCAA Championship in 2009.

Women’s soccer falls to Penn State, 6-1

In the 18-year history of the IU women’s soccer team, the Hoosiers have recorded just one win against Penn State. That win came in the 1996 Big Ten Tournament. Thursday, the Nittany Lions gave the visiting Hoosiers (5-11-1, 1-7) their worst loss this season with a 6-1 final score.

Defense coming together for IU football

IU goes to work again in a noon game Saturday when the Hoosiers (4-3, 0-3) play host to Northwestern (5-2, 1-2) at Memorial Stadium. The game marks the eighth time the defensive side of the coin for IU has played together after major changes in the offseason.

Cross country teams aim for Big Ten title

All of the excitement built up from a long summer and fall of training will be released this weekend in Madison, Wis. as the IU men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the Big Ten Championships.
