Democratic members of the Indiana House of Representatives were scheduled to return to the Statehouse in Indianapolis on Monday following their five-week exile in a Comfort Suites hotel in Urbana, Ill.

Students, local residents stage fights in medieval-style battle games

Bodies clothed in medieval garb littered the Bryan Park battlefield Sunday afternoon in the wake of the most recent battle. This particular battle marked the spring opener for the Bloomington Battle Games Club. Composed of students and community members interested in medieval style combat, the group meets from 1 to 4 p.m. every Sunday at Bryan Park, weather permitting.

Within my dad’s personal office, there is a book. Typically it stands tall and upright alongside our cookbooks in our bookshelves in the dining room, but this past weekend it lay on his desk, amidst work notes and papers. It is a chili cookbook, and I absolutely adore it.

Margot fills Bishop with music, crowd

More people seemed to be walking away from The Bishop than into it as a sign in front of the venue Sunday read, “Sorry! Sold Out.” One girl who showed up to the venue a half hour before the show said to her group of friends, “It’s Margot. We should’ve known.”
