Local man convicted of voyeurism

Eustan J. Lampkins was convicted of voyeurism Tuesday after he allegedly videotaped his mother-in-law showering and undressing for bed while she was visiting him and his wife last December.

Panel to discuss domestic violence

The Bloomington Women's Equity Committee will host a panel discussion at 7 p.m. tonight in the Monroe County Public Library Auditorium, 303 E. Ohio State has played six home games this year. Saturday, they played their seventh. If you closed your eyes and just listened, you wouldn't know where you were. Chants of "O-H-I-O" ran around constantly. Cheers drowned out the sound of the IU band. The Hoosiers were booed coming out of the locker room.

IU shows no offense while defense can't shut down OSU onslaught

Through three quarters of play Saturday, IU was outgained in yards by the Buckeyes more than nine times over, 461 to 51. While the Hoosier offense was going against the top defense in the Big Ten and one of the best in the country, the IU defense faced a Buckeye squad that ranked 10th in the conference in both pass and run offense.

Hamas says it is ready to renew talks

JERUSALEM -- Hamas said Sunday it is ready to talk to the Palestinian prime minister about halting attacks on Israelis, even though the Islamic militant group participated in a deadly attack on a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip two days earlier.

Lending a helping hand

Sexy, stunning and sophisticated describe the vibe radiating through the walls of the John Waldron Arts Center last Saturday at the premier of Kate Coxworth's fashion line. Coxworth teamed up with fellow student photographer Katherine Forrest to present their final project for IU's Individualized Major Program. The presentation included a photography exhibit by Forrest featuring some of Coxworth's designs, which were unveiled at the fashion show later that afternoon.

Jacques Brel's music, songs alive and wonderful

George Pinney's cabaret-style production of "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris" opened Friday night to a standing ovation and lots of applause. This simple production began in an ambient nightclub and moved skillfully between light entertainment to serenading the audience to heavy emotional cries, all the while subconsciously injecting questions and observations on life's little quirks. The presence of Brel shone through the production as the ensemble cast performed on a recreation of a cabaret theatre, where many of Brel's songs were originally sung.

Team beats No. 5 Saint Louis

A pair of Ned Grabavoy goals pushed the Hoosiers past their biggest test of the season by defeating No. 5 Saint Louis 2-1, extending their longest winning streak of the season to six while remaining unbeaten in their last eight matches. The Hoosiers (8-3-4, 4-0-1 Big Ten) have now outscored their opponents 14-2 in their last six games and are unbeaten in their last 20 home games. The Billikens drop to 9-3-2 on the season and losers of their last two.

Basketball ticket package cut to 8

For the second straight year, the IU ticket office has reduced the number of men's basketball tickets included in the season ticket package. After originally advertising 12 games in their student ticket package, the ticket office has cut that number down to eight after demand exceeded expectations. Some students have already received their refund of $44 on their credit cards.
