As a serial detractor of formulaic crime shows such as "C.S.I." and "Law & Order," I was pleasantly surprised by Fincher's adeptness at presenting the minutiae of the Zodiac case in fresh, exciting, terrifying ways. He never allows this particular search for the truth to sag under its own weight, or, by contrast, because of its own effortlessness. "Zodiac" is ominous, elusive and uniquely mysterious, like the killer himself.

I Know Who Killed Me (R)Grade: D-

Tentative kudos to director Chris Siverston for attempting a new synthesis of the thriller genre, but the majority of "I Know Who Killed Me" plays out like a tedious slide show, with a color palette of punchy Kodachrome and a story line completely obliged to the perverse worship of imagery and intermittent sensations. Nevertheless, all judgments of exploitation aside, the film does place on display the spunk that at another time more properly defined Lohan's career.
