B-Line Trail set to undergo construction

The ground breaking ceremony for the B-Line Trail, a new economic and tourism development, was held May 20. The trail was purchased by Bloomington officials in 2005 in hopes of utilizing the area the CSX train company left behind when it removed the old railroad track.

Four weeks ago, the IU baseball team was in a rut. It returned battered and beaten after losing four straight to Penn State and 10 of their last 12 overall in the Big Ten. Then, to hear it from IU coach Tracy Smith, Tyler Rogers moved from third base to his natural position at second, and everything changed.

Bloomington residents search for cheaper ways to get around

With gas prices reaching almost $4 a gallon, Hoosiers are having to explore alternatives to driving to get where they need to go. To avoid the crunch at the pump, many Bloomington residents have instead turned to public transportation, carpooling or bicycling around town.

Rhino's to release CD to fund its after-school program

Rhino’s Youth Media Center & All-Ages Club, Bloomington’s all-ages music venue and youth center, will host a rock show May 24 to raise funds for its after-school programs which benefit Bloomington teenagers. Proceeds from the show will go toward costs for the release of a forthcoming Rhino’s compilation album, the sales of which will help fund club operation costs and after-school programs.

Cinematic Sunrise’s debut, A Coloring Storybook And Long-Playing Record sees two dudes from Chiodos explore their pop sensibilities, armed with more piano keys, soaring hooks, and charm. And for a couple guys that spend their day jobs writing songs with titles like “Is It Progression If a Cannibal Uses a Fork?,” the change is damn near seamless.
