Democrats, if nothing else, repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” This would not only be an act to satisfy disappointed Democrats – it would be the repeal of a policy that is both a slap to human rights and a stain on Obama, who promised to be a “fierce advocate” for GLBT rights.

Campus food courts and C-stores work to feed students with atypical dietary needs. The food courts on campus have choices for vegetarians. Edmondson Dining Room at Collins Living Learning Center is known for its focus on vegetarian and vegan selections, including soups, salads, entrees and desserts.

A new type of social networking Web site, Bloomingmates.com, has been created specifically targeting and connecting IU students, alumni and others associated with the University.

Two IU statistics professors will research networks to help the U.S. Army. Social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, have pervaded almost every aspect of our society –they help us make friends, get jobs, and now, thanks to a new military effort, they could help us catch terrorists.

BPD K-9s fight narcotics in Bloomington

The Bloomington Police Department hired a few unconventional officers in 2009. Lesko and Pongo, both German Shepherds, became the newest additions to BPD’s K-9 unit.As an act of public service, a local dog-training facility gave the two dogs to the Bloomington Police Department.
