Tornadoes hit midwest

A string of severe storms turned deadly Sunday in a mid-afternoon outbreak of tornadoes across the Midwest.Kokomo, Ind., and Lebanon, Ind., were among Indiana’s worst-hit, with images on Twitter showing houses thrown into the middle of the road.

Students gather for Model U.N. conference

Students took their diplomacy skills outside the classroom Saturday as they participated in the first IU Model United Nations regional conference. Delegates from IU, Earlham College and Indiana Wesleyan University acted as representatives of over 30 countries.

IU beats Stony Brook 90-74

Despite struggles from the free throw line, the IU men’s basketball team moved to 4-0 Sunday evening after a 90-74 against Stony Brook at Assembly Hall.
