NO SLEEP FOR A JEEP

·

One lucky person with cold, chapped lips walked away from Delta Upsilon with a brand new jeep Saturday, and all he had to do was kiss the car. But this prince of an idea turns frog in a second when one realizes the winner of the Fifth annual Delta Upsilon/ Kappa Delta Jeep Kiss-Off had to stand for 30 hours, part of the time on one leg, to win the prize. The lucky winner, freshman Brian Laiderman of Alpha Tau Omega, stood for 30 hours glued to the Jeep. He won after the only other standing contestant, sophomore Mary Rothring, collapsed from exhaustion, though she is now fine.

Of the many ethnic groups that have inhabited the Iberian Peninsula during the past few millennia, the Romans take the cake (or flan) for some of the most remarkable buildings. This influence is highly visible in the Spanish province of Extremadura, which is located three hours south of Madrid along the Spain-Portugal border.

Represent both sides in resolution While I applaud the IU Student Association's efforts to formally denounce terrorism and other forms of violence in Israel and Palestine, it should be recognized that resolution 04-09-03 falls short of this goal.

Opposing the sexes drives them apart

·

This letter is in response to the March 30 editorial by senior Judd Arnold titled, "Why I'm Single," though it is a reaction to something far greater. Mr. Arnold, it seems, is a firm believer that "men are from Mars, women are from Venus" (though he admits in his article he actually has no idea what planet women are from).
