Finding health insurance, especially for the first time, can be confusing and complicated. In most cases, you can stay on your parent’s health insurance until age 26, even if you get married, have a child, start or leave school, move out of your parent’s home, or aren’t claimed as a tax dependent. After you turn 26, however, it’s common to lose access.

Kelley School of Business will host a series of wellness events in Hodge Hall and Prebys Career Center this upcoming week as part of “Balance Week,” an initiative aimed at providing undergraduate business students the opportunity to practice mental and physical health skills during final exams. Balance Week, which takes place from Dec. 5- 8, is a collaboration between the student organization Balance at Kelley and the student-led Mental Health Task Force, hosted under the Kelley Office of Student Support.

Kiese Laymon, an IU alumnus and author of multiple works including a personal memoir called “Heavy,” was awarded the MacArthur Fellowship on Oct. 12. Laymon graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences with a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing in 2002.

After last season’s final game, when Indiana women’s basketball had its season ended by the University of Connecticut in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament, then-junior forward Mackenzie Holmes was asked if she would be returning to the team next year. Holmes quashed any remaining questions about her future with her reply.

The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt is coming to IU’s campus from Thursday, Nov. 10, through Saturday, Nov. 12. Thirty sections of the 54-ton tapestry have been selected to be displayed at the Indiana Memorial Union, Student Health Center and Monroe County Public Library between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Last week against the University of Michigan, Indiana football took hits on the defensive side of the ball with multiple veterans going down with injuries before and during the game. Senior linebacker and three-time captain Cam Jones was ruled out prior to the game, along with senior defensive back Jaylin Williams. Fellow senior cornerback Tiawan Mullen left the game with an injury in the second half.

Mike Hart, current Michigan football running backs coach and former Indiana football assistant coach, gave an update on his health via a Michigan football Twitter post Monday morning. This comes after Hart was carted off the field in the first quarter of Indiana’s game Saturday against No. 4 Michigan after suffering a medical emergency on the Michigan sideline.
