Buddy Bill’s Bait Barn closed at 6 p.m. Sunday after nearly 38 years of business. “Buddy” Bill Moser said the bait store wasn’t making enough money. The shop opened in 1971 on Labor Day and was one of only three bait stores in the Lake Monroe area. Another bait shop, Knight’s Corner, is also closing this month. Owner Art Knight opened Knight’s in 1946, and the store has served as a multi-purpose stop with groceries, gas, food and bait for the Brown County area. Brandon Foltz
