INPIRG held the event in order to inform students about the new health care coverage options granted under the new law. In addition to Caudill, speakers included senior Andrew Merki, director of INPIRG's Student Consumer Action Network, students who will directly affected by the new laws due to health conditions they have and Caya Lewis, chief of staff for the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services with the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
