Butterflies feed on the nectar of a hanging flower basket Saturday in the Hilbert Conservatory of White River Gardens, located next to the Indianapolis Zoo. The butterfly show arrived at the gardens in March, and many of the butterflies were still in the pupae stage. However, since summer has sprung, many butterflies are in the process of hatching. The display features free-flying butterfly species from America as well as more exotic species from Africa and Central America. The exhibit also showcases plants that attract the butterflies and educational material about them. The show will be on display until Sept. 7. Courtney Deckard
